Santa Digna Chardonnay 2002
Wine; vintage: 2002; ABV: 13.5%;Produced from vines grown in the Rio Claro area of Curico, which enjoys a cooler climate than the central valley. It displays a brilliant yellow colour with green hues, has a strong varietal aroma - mango and apricot - enhanced by vanilla and coconut flavours contributed by the American oak casks in which the wine was matured. The style is typical of good Burgundy.

Miguel Torres
The Torres family surname has been linked with wine for more than three centuries, during which time they have worked vineyards in Penedès, a land with a millenarian tradition of wine.
Commercial activity began in 1800, with a horse-drawn carriage used to transport wine in wooden barrels.
When Jaime Torres Vendrell returned from Cuba the Torres family began its domestic and international expansion. Jaime Torres, after more than 10 years of hard work and saving, arrived at the idea of exporting his wines to countries such as Cuba, Argentina and Puerto Rico.
In 1870, Jaime and Miguel Torres Vendrell formed the Torres & Company association, and work began on building the first winery in Vilafranca del Penedès.
The wines gained prestige wherever the intrepid Catalan sea captains of Sitges and Vilanova transported them. Cartagena de Indias, Santiago de Cuba, Veracruz, Bremen, Hamburg and Saint Petersburg were some of these destinations. These wines won prizes in Vienna,
