Petit Chablis 2008 Perdycourt
Wine; vintage: 2008; ABV: 12.5%;An outstanding racy Petit Chablis with wonderfully balanced flavour, classic minerality, packed with exotic fruit flavours of mango, apricots, white peaches and citrus. The 2007 vintage received the rare maximum accolade of *** in Hachette last year. We await judgement of this vintage in this year's publication with optimistic anticipation.

Chablis 2008 Perdycourt
The traditional way to vinify Chablis is to leave the new wine from fermentation in September/October on its lees (yeast sediment) until it is bottled in February/March. This wine estate extends this period to June/ July which adds to its body and complexity. It has great richness and depth of flavour with hints of apricots, citrus, green apples and peaches. Chablis Cuvee Prestige V.V. 2008 Perdycourt
This wine stood out as something very special when tasted in the Perdycourt cellars. Produced from 60 year old vines with low yield, it has been vinified and stored in stainless steel tanks before bottling, so no oak. The wine is expressive, complex and underlined with discreet characters of citrus, minerally-typical of the terroir-and floral notes. [read on...]
