Campagnola Winery
Carlo Campagnola founded the winery in 1886. He received his first official recognition in 1907 with a gold medal for the best `reccioto wine`. In 1926 he participated in the Wine Fair and Exposition at the Grand Guardia in Verona and purchased the historic Antica Osteria Portoni Borsari.
The Campagnola Cellars, a family-run winery for four generations, is situated in Valgatara, the center of the Classic Valpolicella zone in the small town of Marano di Valpolicella. Luigi Campagnola personally selects the best situated Veronese vineyards.

Amarone Della Valpolicella Classico 2001
The grapes are hand picked in October, spread out on mats or racks and gently dried until February, intensifying the fruit flavour and grape sugar. It is then vinified to virtually dry, producing a very big, powerful red wine with an intense deep red colour. Dryish full very complex flavour with velvet smoothness. A stunning, rich cherry chocolaty red from Veronain north east Italy. Grapes are picked late in the vintage, starting to turn to raisins.
