Rose & Crown Hotel

The Rose and Crown Hotel is a bar and off licence on Alderney in the UK Channel Islands. The hotel is situated in Le Huret, an attractive, peaceful part of St. Anne. This location on the fringe of town makes it extremely convenient in every respect. Though the building retains the name 'hotel', the Rose & Crown does not offer accommodation.

Constructed of Alderney granite in about 1770, the building has a flight of steps leading to the front entrance, with a handrail on either side. This dates back to the time when no public house license was granted to premises with more than two steps unless there were rails to assist clients on their way out.

There is a well equipped attractive bar ideal for relaxing and meeting the locals. The sheltered garden is a haven of peace and tranquility and hosts a garden bar in the summer.

The Rose & Crown also boasts the most popular off-licence on the island with a selection of over 500 wines, imported direct from around the world. Key members of staff go on wine buying trips and,therefore, have first hand knowledge of the wines.
