Domaine Pierre Riffault

Pierre Riffaults 10 hecatare vineyard has been in his family for several generations, handed down from father to son. If you are in the region hw will be delighted to let you taste some of his fins Sancerre wines and happy to share his knowledge and enthusiasm.

White Sancerre, made from Sauvignon grapes is a lively, very fruity wine, strong but subtle. It is best drunk chilled and is an excellent accompaniment to seafood, fish, white meatsand the famous Crottin de Chavignol goatsmilk cheeses. Pierre Riffault's white wines are matured in thermoregulated stainless steel varts our white wines and rosés ferment at temperatures of between 15 and 20 degrees. After racking they are filtered and then bottled.

Black Pinot grapes are used for the red Sancerres and rosés, which are matured for 1 year in the cask before being sold. Red Sancerre is pized for its elegant bouquet and gos very well with red meats and cheeses. The Rosé is ideal with cold meats and exotic dishes.
