Caves de Pouilly Sur Loire

Spread over some 8 Kms. On the slopes of the sunny and sheltered hills bordering on to the right bank of the Loire. Seven "communes" can be found in this region, the rich soil of which is specially suitable for vineyards, and where an ideal exposure ensures a perfect ripeness. Our vine-growers, in this particular climate, can hear cicadas singing amid the hill-sides.

We chose this wine for its excellent quality, classic Sauvignon Blanc character and excellent value. It is like a junior Sancerre in style but much more keenly priced. Pale salmon rose produced 'Seigne' by leaving the grape juice on the black Pinot Noir skins for a few hours to extract a hint of colour.
